Rob Hess

Rob Hess

Rob Hess is a fully certified UIAGM/IFMGA mountain guide and the current Technical Director for the AMGA. He is part owner of and chief guide for Jackson Hole Mountain Guides. Rob’s personal and professional experience is extensive. He was the third American to summit Mt. Everest without supplemental oxygen. Rob has guided throughout the world, including Broad peak in Pakistan, Denali in Alaska, as well as rock guiding in the American south west and ice guiding in Wyoming, Colorado and the Canadian Rockies. Rob also has a vast skiing resume. From the Tetons to Valdez to La Grave to Chamonix, Rob has descended many difficult and extreme lines. He has extensive helicopter ski guiding experience in Valdez and works as a lead guide for the ski film company Teton Gravity Research.
