2008 Annual Meeting Information

Smith Rock ~ Bend, Oregon
October 19-21, 2008

This internationally famous rock climbing area is on the banks of the Crooked River with seven miles of hiking trails and a multitude of climber access routes. It encompasses 651 acres on the Oregon high desert plateau, which hovers around 3,000 feet in elevation. Smith Rock's multi-colored rock structure is made of welded tuff and is millions of years old. The natural beauty of the park is breathtaking.

We welcome you to join us and participate in all of the Annual Meeting events listed in the following pages. Some of the highlights include the AMGA Opening Night Event at the Pete and Julie Keane’s house on Sunday October 19th. This event is sponsored by Marmot and includes free food, beer and door prizes. On Monday there are Professional Development Clinics being held at or around the Smith Rock State Park Visitor Center, to be followed by the Annual Meeting Main Event held at the Terrebonne Depot in Redmond, OR. The Main Event will feature food, drinks, silent auction, raffle, awards ceremony, as well as a slide show presentation by a special guest.
